This contract position offers the opportunity to work with students from kindergarten through seventh grade for the 2026-2027 school year. Located near Westfield, MA, the role is ideal for a dedicated Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant eager to make a positive impact within a supportive school environment. The schedule consists of 30 hours per week, giving you a consistent and manageable workload throughout the academic year.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant license required
- Experience delivering physical therapy services in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with childhood development and working with elementary and middle school-age children
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and the broader school community
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group physical therapy interventions for K-7th grade students
- Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to support students physical development and participation in school activities
- Assess students physical needs, create therapy plans, and monitor progress
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and review
- Serve as a resource to staff and families, offering practical strategies for classroom and home settings
