Job Description

A Physical Therapist opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting located in Tyrone, PA, for the current school year as a contract position. This role involves delivering physical therapy services across multiple schools within the district, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The position is designed for a licensed Physical Therapist with the ability to work a 37.5-hour week and provide care within a structured, educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, treatments, and interventions to K-12 students.
  • Collaborate with school staff and other healthcare providers to develop individualized education and therapy plans.
  • Manage a caseload across multiple schools while maintaining clear and timely documentation.
  • Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFs) when assigned.
  • Participate in school meetings and communicate effectively with families and school personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapy license required.
  • Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
  • Ability to travel between multiple school locations.
  • Former experience in this district or familiarity with similar educational environments considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills necessary for success in a multi-school caseload.

Location: Tyrone, PA
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Current School Year (CSY) contract
Supervision Provided: Yes, the district provides support for Clinical Fellows.
