Job Description

A part-time physical therapist opportunity is available serving K-8 students in a dynamic school setting in San Luis, AZ. This contract role runs from ASAP through May 27, 2026, and involves working full-time hours (40 per week) within a K-12 educational environment. The position offers the chance to provide essential physical therapy services while supporting student development across various schools through an itinerant model.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing students physical development and motor skill levels
  • Planning and implementing tailored treatment plans to achieve individualized student goals
  • Identifying environmental barriers and equipment needs to enhance accessibility
  • Providing safety recommendations aimed at improving facility accessibility
  • Participating actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborating with educational teams
  • Developing programs and supervising supportive staff as necessary
  • Managing a caseload across multiple schools (K-8 itinerant), with compensation for travel time and mileage as applicable

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Valid Arizona Physical Therapy (PT) license
  • IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Experience working with school-age children in a physical therapy capacity preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently across multiple locations
