Experience an impactful opportunity supporting K-8 students as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) on a contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year. With 18 hours per week, youll be a valued resource to a small, manageable caseload of 11-15 students spread across two school buildings; your expertise will be key to helping students reach their fullest potential in a vibrant, collaborative educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Massachusetts Physical Therapist (PT) license or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license
- Experience working within a school setting is preferred but not required
- Strong commitment to student-centered care and collaborative practice
- Excellent organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to travel between two buildings as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to K-8 students per IEP mandates and best practices
- Evaluate students physical abilities and develop goal-oriented treatment plans in collaboration with educational staff
- Document student progress, provide regular updates, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers, families, and other support staff to integrate recommended physical therapy strategies into classroom routines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities
