Job Description

A K-12 school in Clifton Springs, NY, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic services to students with mixed disabilities during the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position runs from September 3, 2025, through June 26, 2026, with a weekly schedule of approximately 33.75 hours.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid New York State Physical Therapist license and have experience working both in healthcare and school settings. Your expertise will support the functional mobility, strength, and overall physical well-being of students across all grade levels (K-12), collaborating closely with educators and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting physical therapy assessments and evaluations for students with mixed disabilities
  • Designing and implementing therapeutic interventions tailored to individual student needs
  • Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records compliant with state and district guidelines
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student educational goals
  • Participating in meetings regarding student therapy plans and outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Physical Therapist license required
  • Experience providing physical therapy services in both healthcare and school settings preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students with varied physical therapy needs
