Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program required
- Current and valid Louisiana Physical Therapist license
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and families across diverse communities
- Collaborative spirit and desire to make a lasting impact
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students physical therapy needs within the school setting
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to meet each students unique goals
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and related service providers to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and professional guidelines
- Offer guidance on equipment, modifications, and strategies to improve accessibility in the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and review
- Educate staff and families on strategies that support students physical development and independence
