Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Physical Therapy is required
• Active New Mexico physical therapist license
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other support professionals
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess students motor skills, mobility, and functional abilities within the school environment
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with IEP teams
• Provide direct physical therapy services to students across various grade levels
• Consult with classroom staff to adapt activities and support educational participation
• Monitor and document student progress, updating goals and strategies as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights regarding student needs
• Educate caregivers and school staff about safe practices and appropriate mobility strategies
