Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist license and registration (state requirements apply)
- Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations
- Strong understanding of IEPs, progress reporting, and goal setting
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement effective therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and parents
- Adaptability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and varying abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy assessments and treatments as part of a students educational plan
- Develop and monitor goals and objectives tailored to each childs needs within the school environment
- Consult and collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families
- Document student progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
- Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and modifications to support student participation
- Attend and actively contribute to IEP meetings and student planning sessions
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to promote optimal student function in the classroom
