Job Description

A school-based physical therapy opportunity is available for a licensed Physical Therapist to serve K-12 students. This contract role involves providing therapeutic services to support the physical development and mobility needs of children in a structured educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Physical Therapist license
  • Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
  • Ability to conduct student evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers
  • Commitment to supporting student functional independence and academic progress

Location & Schedule:

  • Position located in Irving, TX
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
  • Contract duration aligned with the school year (CSY)

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting physical therapy assessments and monitoring progress
  • Implementing evidence-based interventions tailored to student needs
  • Documenting services and maintaining required records in accordance with regulations
  • Providing training and support to school staff regarding physical therapy strategies
  • Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contributing professional input
