Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid Louisiana Physical Therapist license
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Flexibility in managing caseloads spanning multiple ages and grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention strategies
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans to address motor skill development, mobility, and functional participation in the educational environment
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other related service professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Provide direct therapy services to students in elementary, middle, and high school settings
- Document progress, maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, and participate in IEP meetings
- Educate and support families regarding physical therapy goals and progress
