Step into a rewarding opportunity as a contract Physical Therapist serving K-12 students. In this role, you'll support the mobility, development, and overall well-being of your caseload while collaborating closely with educators, families, and fellow therapy professionals. This is a full-time position, offering 37.5 hours per week across five days.
Required Qualifications & Certifications:
- Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Active and current Illinois Physical Therapist (IL PT) license
- Proven ability to evaluate and establish individualized treatment plans for school-aged children
- Experience with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine treatment needs, setting appropriate physical therapy goals
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions to support students' gross motor skills and functional mobility within school environments
- Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and families to ensure optimal support and integration of therapies
- Document assessments, interventions, and progress according to district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise for program development and student planning
- Monitor student caseload progress, adapting methods to ensure measurable growth
