Bring your expertise as a Physical Therapist to a rewarding contract opportunity providing services in a dynamic school setting near Folsom, CA. This part-time, onsite role is ideal for a PT passionate about supporting student success and ready to collaborate with dedicated educational teams.
In this role, youll deliver direct physical therapy services to a diverse caseload of 2028 students across various campuses, with opportunities for both site-based work and possible telehealth or hybrid arrangements. As a valued resource within the school community, youll offer your insights to both Special and General Education staff, attend IEP meetings, and help ensure each student receives individualized support to thrive physically and academically.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Physical Therapist license in California
- Possess a current Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential
- Experience providing PT services in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and support teams
- Ability to adapt PT interventions for diverse student needs and site settings
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students requiring physical therapy, developing goal-oriented treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative PT services based on IEP goals, both in-person and, as needed, via teletherapy
- Maintain thorough documentation per state and district requirements
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, sharing observations and progress updates with the team
- Travel between assigned school sites as appropriate
