As a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, youll deliver skilled physical therapy services tailored to the needs of students across varying grade levels. Desired Background:

  • Masters degree in Physical Therapy (required)
  • Current Illinois PT licensure and credentials
  • Experience working within school settings, especially servicing pediatric and K-12 populations, is highly valued
  • Familiarity with IEPs, goal setting, and adapting interventions to meet educational objectives
  • Effective communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments for students referred for physical therapy services
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in line with IEP goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative PT interventions within classroom and one-on-one settings
  • Track progress, maintain detailed documentation, and collaborate with teachers, families, and fellow providers
  • Attend IEP and team meetings to advocate for student needs
  • Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to promote student mobility and access
