Job Description

A Physical Therapist opportunity is available to provide essential support services within a K-8 school setting in Aurora, CO. This contract position runs through the current school year and involves onsite work dedicated to helping students improve their physical capabilities and participate fully in school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect physical therapy services aligned with students' IEPs or Section 504 plans.
  • Assess students gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and postural control.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, parents, and special education teams to support student inclusion and participation.
  • Develop and adjust therapy interventions tailored to individual needs, including the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, monitor student progress, and actively contribute to IEP/504 meetings and related school initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current Physical Therapist license issued by the NC Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
  • Experience working with a K-8 student caseload preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Position Details:

  • Contract duration from ASAP to the end of the school year.
  • Onsite work in Aurora, CO, with 1.5 hours per week dedicated to the caseload.
  • Focused on providing services within a K-8 school environment.
