Job Description

A Part-Time Physical Therapist opportunity is available to support K-12 students within a Colorado charter school located in Aurora, CO. This role offers a unique chance to contribute clinical PT services on a very limited schedule, averaging approximately one hour per month, during the current school year contract. The position is ideal for licensed physical therapists seeking flexible, part-time work in a school-based setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to students at one assigned school.
  • Participate in indirect activities including administrative tasks and team meetings as scheduled.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to support student progress and adaptation.
  • Maintain compliance with all district policies, including the use of the districts IEP system (training provided).
  • Work under a contract without direct supervision duties or receiving district supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado Physical Therapist (PT) license is mandatory.
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based physical therapy preferred.
  • Ability to work virtually for interviews and manage caseload responsibilities professionally.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate within the school environment.

  • The position is contracted for the current school year with a start date as soon as possible.
  • Virtual interview process, with decisions made promptly.
  • Indirect time is compensated for administrative and meeting participation.
  • No provision or requirement for supervision of support personnel in this role.
