Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Paraeducator I or Paraeducator II Certification is a must
- Previous experience working with students of diverse abilities is preferred
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to take a cooperative, team-oriented approach to problem solving
- Motivation to work collaboratively within an educational setting
- Proficiency with basic computer operations and familiarity with assistive technologies
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely under the direction of teachers, specialists, and administrators
- Provide classroom and instructional support to help meet individualized student needs
- Implement lesson plans designed by educational specialistsensuring consistency and quality care
- Assist students in both group and one-on-one settings, fostering an engaging and supportive environment
- Use basic computer skills and assistive technology equipment as directed
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom climate by modeling respectful, encouraging behavior
- Communicate progress and challenges to supervising staff clearly and professionally
- Support students during classroom activities and transitions as needed
