As an essential member of the educational team, youll provide guidance and encouragement to help students achieve their best, while collaborating closely with teachers and staff in an engaging learning environment.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Active Paraprofessional certification in Texas (Para in TX required)
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to assist students with academic assignments, behavioral needs, or activities
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable in various classroom scenarios
- Reliable and punctual, able to maintain a consistent schedule (37.5 hours weekly, Monday-Friday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in creating an inclusive and effective classroom environment
- Assist students individually or in small groups with assignments, projects, or socialization
- Help reinforce lessons, monitor student progress, and manage classroom behavior
- Contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) when required
- Supervise students in various settings, fostering their academic and social development
- Communicate regularly with lead teachers and support staff regarding student needs and progress
