Job Description

Located in Stoneham, MA, this full-time paraprofessional position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the life of students with special needs. The role involves supporting a 4th-5th grade severe special education classroom, working closely under the direction of the classroom teacher.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of instruction and implementation of IEP goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students in all environments.
  • Support the inclusion of students with special needs into mainstream classes.
  • Collaborate with educators and participate in relevant training.
  • Manage and respond to the needs of verbally and/or physically aggressive students with professionalism and care.

Qualifications:

  • Current paraprofessional certification in Massachusetts.
  • Experience working with special education students preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
