Job Description

This paraprofessional position supports students in a K-12 school setting with a focus on autism-related behaviors. The role is based in Silverthorne, CO, serving at Berry Creek Middle School and Eagle Valley High School within the Eagle County School District. The assignment is a contract position for the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering educational instruction and support to students with autism.
  • Implement behavior interventions and support strategies tailored to students' needs.
  • Monitor and document student progress and behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students in social, emotional, and academic development.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children exhibiting autism spectrum behaviors.
  • Ability to follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability in a classroom environment.
  • Prior experience as a paraprofessional or similar role is preferred.

Location & Schedule:

  • Silverthorne, Colorado.
  • Based at Berry Creek Middle School and Eagle Valley High School.
  • Full-time, 35 hours per week.
  • Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
