Job Description
This position is ideal for an experienced paraprofessional seeking part-time work in a K-12 educational setting. The role involves supporting Pre-K classrooms with hands-on assistance and classroom management for young learners. The schedule is set Monday through Friday, totaling 15 hours per week, with responsibilities split between classroom support and preparation activities on alternate Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct classroom support from Monday to Thursday at the primary site
- Assist in Pre-K classrooms daily, Monday through Friday from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
- Alternate Fridays between prep work and classroom support at a secondary site
- Perform diapering duties, ensuring hygiene and comfort for students
- Collaborate with teaching staff to meet individual student needs and enhance learning experiences
Qualifications:
- Active Paraprofessional certification or license in California required
- Previous experience assisting in early childhood or K-12 educational environments preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to changing classroom dynamics
Location:
- Onsite work based in Napa, California with ties to supporting classrooms in the surrounding Santa Rosa area
Contract Details:
- Contract duration: January 12, 2025, through June 5, 2026
- Part-time, approximately 15 hours per week
