Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Prior experience as a paraprofessional or working with children in an educational or care setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant college coursework or certifications a plus
  • Familiarity with instructional strategies and classroom management helpful

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students both one-on-one and in small groups as directed by certified staff
  • Assist with classroom management and help create a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Guide students in completing assignments and reinforce learning concepts
  • Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), when applicable
  • Support students with varying needs, including those with learning differences
  • Assist with daily routines and classroom activities
  • Collaborate with educators to monitor student progress and report challenges or successes
  • Ensure a safe environment for all students
