Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a related support role within a school setting is highly valued
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with students, teachers, and staff
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards student learning and development
• Ability to follow directions, implement teacher-designed activities, and assist in classroom management
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications related to education or child development is a plus
• Comfortable working both one-on-one and with small groups of students, including those with special needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers by assisting with instructional activities and individualized learning plans
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all students
• Assist students in understanding and completing assignments as directed by the teacher
• Supervise students during classroom transitions, breaks, and, as needed, throughout the school day
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educational staff to best support student needs
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and report observations to teaching staff
• Encourage positive social skills and help manage classroom behaviors according to established guidelines
