Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a contract paraprofessional in a supportive elementary school near Rochester, NH. This rewarding opportunity entails working closely with students in a Title 1 environment, providing academic and behavioral support to foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom atmosphere. Five paraprofessional positions are available for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Ability to provide three professional references, including your most recent supervisor
- Proof of at least one of the following credentials is required prior to interviewing: Valid Paraprofessional II certificate Official transcripts reflecting post-secondary credits equivalent to an Associate's degree Completion of an Associate's or Bachelors degree
- Passion for supporting elementary school students' learning and development
- Strong communication skills and collaborative nature
- Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist instructional staff in delivering programs in reading, math, and other subjects
- Implement accommodations and modifications as directed by teachers or specialists
- Support individual or small groups of students in classroom and non-classroom settings
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers as needed
- Foster a safe, positive environment for children to thrive academically and socially
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all student interactions
This contract role begins September 1, 2026 and concludes June 16, 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:05am to 3:05pm, totaling 32.5 hours per week.
