What youll bring:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language, with the ability to facilitate communication in classroom settings
• Experience supporting students as a paraprofessional, preferably in a school environment
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and special education staff
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Adaptability and sensitivity to the individual needs of students
• High school diploma or equivalent (additional certifications in ASL or paraprofessional training a plus)

What youll do:

• Provide 1:1 assistance to a student, ensuring clear communication through ASL in all classroom activities
• Support the students engagement and participation in lessons
• Collaborate with educational teams to implement individual education plans and accommodations
• Adapt lessons and coursework to ensure accessibility
• Foster a welcoming, respectful environment that empowers student learning
• Assist with classroom management and general instructional support as needed
