Key qualifications and experience desired:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a student support role
• Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and school staff
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Supporting classroom teachers in instructional activities and daily routines
• Assisting individual students and small groups with assignments and learning tasks
• Helping implement individualized education or behavior plans
• Monitoring student engagement, safety, and behavior in and out of the classroom
• Encouraging positive student interactions and a nurturing, inclusive environment
• Providing support with clerical or organizational tasks as needed
