This full-time contract opportunity focuses on providing specialized support to PreK students, combining both Paraprofessional and American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter skills. Working in a positive and inclusive environment, you'll play a key role in helping students access and engage in their early educational experiences.

Key Qualifications:

• 100% fluency in American Sign Language
• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional and/or Sign Language Interpreter, especially within school settings
• Ability to adapt communication to meet the diverse needs of PreK students
• Strong collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, therapists, and families
• Professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm for supporting young children in a dynamic classroom

Role Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication for deaf or hard-of-hearing students using ASL
• Provide one-on-one and small group support under the guidance of classroom teachers
• Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and the implementation of individualized education plans
• Support positive interactions and participation by interpreting instructions, conversations, and classroom content
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere where all students feel understood and encouraged to reach their potential
