Key Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts paraprofessional credential/certification required
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working with middle school-aged students preferred
• Strong communication skills; ability to collaborate with educators, students, and families
• Patient, compassionate approach to helping students of varying abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability in a school environment
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and managing group activities
• Provide one-on-one or small group support for students, including those with special needs or learning differences
• Encourage positive behavior and reinforce classroom rules and procedures
• Help with classroom setup, preparation of learning materials, and student transitions throughout the day
• Track student progress and communicate observations to instructional staff
• Foster a safe, welcoming environment for all students
