Make a difference in K-12 education supporting students across multiple grade levels next school year! Contract paraprofessional opportunities are available in North Kansas City, Missouri. Flexible individuals are encouraged to apply, as assignments may rotate among various siteselementary, middle, and high schoolswhich will enable you to broaden your experience and skill set.

Key Qualifications:

• Current active Substitute Certification on the Missouri DESE website OR ParaPro Exam with transcripts on file (required to interview)
• Experience or strong interest in SPED classrooms, including 1:1 support and general classroom assistance
• Comfort with toileting/changing needs and supporting students with behavioral challenges
• Willingness and ability to float across multiple school sites as needs arise throughout the academic year
• Excellent collaboration skills, engaging with teachers, aides, and therapists to promote student success
• Must be able to obtain required fingerprinting (NKC Prints; $45 cost)

Daily Duties:

• Support students in special education and general education settings, adapting to a variety of learning and behavioral needs
• Implement instructional and behavioral intervention plans under the supervision of educators and specialists
• Promote safety, dignity, and inclusion for all students
• Provide direct and indirect support for classroom learning and transitions
• May be assigned to 1:1 or small-group support, depending on student and site needs

Schedules may vary according to assignment:

• Middle schools: 7:002:30
• High schools: 7:303:00
• Elementary schools: 8:304:00 or 9:004:30
