Job Description

A temporary paraprofessional opportunity is available to support an elementary school classroom from late January to early June 2026. This contract role offers consistent Monday through Friday hours, with a daily schedule of 32.5 hours including a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The position serves an elementary caseload at a Minneapolis location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support and assist with instructional activities under teacher supervision
  • Support students with diverse learning needs to promote academic success
  • Assist in maintaining a positive and safe learning environment
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Qualifications:

  • Must be highly qualified by meeting one of the following: Passing the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam, or Completion of at least 60 college credits (transcripts required; diplomas not accepted)
  • Prior paraprofessional experience preferred
  • Commitment to supporting elementary-aged students with professionalism and patience

  • Position located at a school in Minneapolis, MN (151 Northdale Blvd NW #3396)
  • Candidates must confirm willingness to work at this site

Additional Details:

  • This role is a contract assignment with an option to transition to direct hire status after 120 days with the district
