Qualifications:

• Valid Paraprofessional certification in Louisiana (Para in LA) required
• Previous experience supporting middle school students preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and students
• Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to student growth
• Ability to follow direction and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional activities
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed
• Help implement behavioral management and accommodation strategies
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Support students with special needs or individualized plans
• Assist with classroom organization and preparation of learning materials
• Supervise students in various settings, ensuring their wellbeing and safety

This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, working directly with the middle school age group.
