Job Description
Support educational success as a Paraprofessional in a vibrant K-12 school located near Grand Blanc, MI, serving students from the Flint area. These full-time contract positions run approximately from late January through mid-June and offer a rewarding opportunity to impact students with diverse needs across multiple grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one assistance in resource and self-contained classrooms, supporting students with cognitive and emotional impairments.
- Support daily student needs that may include health aide tasks such as toileting and diapering for students requiring extra care.
- Deliver specialized assistance including Braille support for visually impaired students (specific positions available).
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain composure and professionalism while addressing individual student needs from K through 12th grade.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Completion of at least 60 semester hours of college coursework, OR
- An Associate's degree or higher, OR
- Successful passage of the ETS Parapro assessment (official transcript or test results required).
- University transcript showing at least 60 college credits is mandatory before assignment.
- Ability to commit full-time hours (approximately 37.5 hours/week) with schedules varying between 7:30/8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. depending on location.
