Paraprofessional Opportunities Flint, MI Area (K-12 Schools)

Multiple paraprofessional positions are available to support K-12 students in classrooms near Flint, MI, including the Grand Blanc area. These contract roles run from approximately January 26, 2026, through June 12, 2026, providing full-time employment (37.5 hours per week) with varied schedules typically between 7:30/8:30 AM and 5:30 PM depending on the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students in resource and self-contained classrooms specializing in cognitive and emotional impairments
  • Assist students with daily living activities, including toileting and hygiene, particularly for those with cognitive disabilities
  • Support a range of grade levels across various special education settings
  • A dedicated position is available for a paraprofessional skilled in Braille instruction
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to promote an inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of at least 60 semester hours of college coursework, OR
  • Attainment of an Associates degree or higher, OR
  • Successful passage of the ETS Parapro Assessment
  • University transcript demonstrating qualifications must be provided prior to placement
  • Compliance with Title I funding requirements for paraprofessionals

Desired Experience:

  • Experience working in special education or with students requiring individualized support is highly beneficial
  • Comfort with health aide duties for students with cognitive impairments
