A full-time paraprofessional position is available in a high school transition setting serving students ages 18-22. This contract role involves providing essential support to students in an educational environment focused on transitioning to adulthood and greater independence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting students with daily activities, including toileting support
• Supporting individualized education plans (IEPs) and classroom instruction
• Supervising students during academic and transition activities
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success
• Maintaining a safe and positive learning environment

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting preferred
• Comfort and ability to provide toileting assistance
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
• Ability to work well with students ages 18-22 with diverse needs
• Understanding of transition services and related challenges

Location:

• High school setting in Elgin, IL

This contract assignment is for the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a specialized educational program.
