Behavior Technician (BT) / Paraprofessional | 2026-2027 School Year | Del Mar, CA Area
Sunbelt Staffing is partnering with a school district in the Del Mar, CA area to hire two full-time Behavior Technicians (BTs) / Paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions will support elementary-aged students in a one-on-one setting, providing behavioral and instructional assistance throughout the school day. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who are passionate about helping students succeed while making a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment.
Position Responsibilities
Provide direct one-on-one support to students with behavioral needs
Assist students with academic, social, and behavioral goals throughout the school day
Implement behavior support strategies and interventions as directed by the educational team
Support student participation in classroom instruction and activities
Assist with transitions, daily routines, and classroom engagement
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote student success
Provide toileting assistance when required
Qualifications
Previous experience working with children in educational, behavioral, or related settings preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Comfortable providing personal care and toileting assistance when needed
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
Prior experience supporting students with behavioral needs in a school setting
Experience implementing behavior intervention strategies
Schedule
Full-time position
30 hours per week
Monday through Friday
6 hours per day
Elementary school setting
Follows the 2026-2027 school calendar
