Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school setting
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) is a plus
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to changing classroom needs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
• Basic computer and record-keeping skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support students with classroom activities, ensuring they remain engaged and focused
• Assist teachers with instructional tasks and classroom management
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who need additional guidance
• Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students, including those with special needs
• Contribute to implementing behavior management strategies, guided by the classroom teacher or special education staff
• Help organize classroom materials and prepare lessons as requested
• Monitor progress and document observations to share with educational staff
• Communicate effectively with teachers regarding students progress and areas for improvement
