Job Description

Support student learning and classroom management as a paraprofessional in a K-12 school setting. This contract position in Cambridge, MA, offers the opportunity to assist educators in creating an engaging and supportive environment that fosters student success throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to teachers by working with individual students and small groups
  • Assist with instructional activities, reinforcing lesson content and helping students stay on task
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring additional assistance
  • Monitor student behavior and promote a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere
  • Help prepare materials and organize learning resources as directed by the teacher
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and school staff regarding student progress and needs

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or related educational role is preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in supporting students academic growth
  • Familiarity with common classroom activities and instructional support techniques
