Job Description

Support students educational and behavioral needs as a Paraprofessional and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a K-12 school setting. This contract position, based in Burlington, NC, offers an opportunity to work directly with students requiring individualized 1:1 support throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, 1:1 behavioral and educational assistance to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of certified professionals.
  • Support classroom activities to enhance student engagement and academic progress.
  • Monitor and document student behavior and progress in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to promote a positive learning environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Paraprofessional in school settings.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
  • Ability to maintain consistent, patient, and supportive interaction with students.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and clinicians.
  • Familiarity with behavior data collection and implementation of behavior plans.
  • Previous experience providing 1:1 support within K-12 educational environments preferred.
