Job Description

A K-12 paraprofessional position is available to support student learning and behavior management in a school setting. This role is ideal for candidates with experience working with high-needs behaviors and certified or pending certification as a paraprofessional. The position offers a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours per week on a school-year contract.

Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting students with high-need behavior challenges, without requiring Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Paraprofessional certification required; candidates pending certification may be considered
  • Ability to effectively engage and assist students across K-12 grades
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers and school staff

Location: Ann Arbor, MI area
Duration: School Year (NSY) contract
Work schedule: 32.5 hours/week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students with behavioral and academic needs
  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing instructional plans
  • Support positive student behavior through appropriate interventions and encouragement
  • Monitor and document student progress and behavior as directed
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
