Job Description

A temporary paraprofessional opportunity is available at an elementary school location in Minneapolis, MN, supporting an engaging and supportive learning environment for young students. This contract runs from late January to early June, Monday through Friday, with a work schedule totaling 32.5 hours per week, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering instruction and supporting students' individual learning needs within an elementary school setting
  • Implement instructional strategies under the guidance of certified teachers to enhance student engagement and academic success
  • Provide additional support to students requiring individualized attention to reinforce classroom learning
  • Manage classroom behavior and promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications:

  • Must be deemed a highly qualified paraprofessional by one of two methods: Passing the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam), or Completion of at least 60 college credits with official transcripts provided (diplomas alone are insufficient)
  • Previous experience working with elementary school students preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers and students
  • Ability to commit to the full contract term and work on-site at 151 Northdale Blvd NW #3396, Minneapolis, MN 55448

Additional Details:

  • Candidate will begin under a contractual arrangement with the potential to transition to direct hire status with the school district after 120 days of successful performance
