An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide services within a K-12 school setting in Yakima, WA. This contract position runs through the current school year, ending June 11, 2026, and offers approximately 24 hours per week supporting about 20 students across multiple sites and age ranges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations and delivering occupational therapy services tailored to students' developmental needs
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy goals into the educational environment
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports to ensure compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participating in team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
Desired qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license appropriate for school-based practice
- Experience working with children in school settings, including caseload management across multiple sites
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of K-12 educational environments and related legal requirements
