Job Description

A K-12 school in Vallejo, CA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to support students throughout the school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on diverse learners by providing specialized speech and language services in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student needs
  • Deliver therapy sessions tailored to enhance communication skills and academic success
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to coordinate interventions and track student progress
  • Maintain detailed documentation and comply with educational and clinical regulations
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise

Qualifications:

  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an SLP in California
  • Proven experience working with children in a K-12 educational environment preferred
  • Strong assessment, therapeutic, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team and diverse student populations
  • Commitment to student-focused outcomes and ongoing professional development
