Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in Washington state
  • Experience or interest in working with students ranging from Pre-K to Grade 12
  • Familiarity with school-based OT practices, including individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for fostering growth, development, and independence in children and adolescents
  • Adaptability to different grade levels and school environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students in Early Childhood, Elementary (Grades K-5), Middle (Grades 6-8), and High School (Grades 9-12) settings
  • Assess, plan, and implement interventions to support students fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
  • Develop and contribute to IEP goals and document student progress
  • Work closely with educators and families to ensure cohesive support and maximize student success
  • Provide education and training for school staff to facilitate classroom strategies
  • Adapt therapy approaches for individual student needs at various developmental stages
  • Participate in team meetings and support ongoing professional growth within the school community
