Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, school-based position in Suffolk, VA for the 2026-2027 school year. Position Details

• Location: Suffolk, VA
• Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Dates: August 10, 2026 June 4, 2027
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for students
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Support students with fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, visual motor integration, and classroom participation
• Recommend adaptive equipment and strategies to enhance student success

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Occupational Therapist License
• Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
