A full-time Occupational Therapist is needed for an elementary school setting serving PreK through 5th grade students with moderate to severe disabilities. This position is located in Slidell, LA, and offers a contract opportunity spanning the 2026 Spring Semester from January through May, with the option to extend into the summer for the extended school year program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to PreK-5th grade students
• Conduct assessments, evaluations, and progress reporting
• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with educators and staff to support student development
• Perform physical tasks including the ability to run, jump, and lift up to 100 lbs as required in the role

Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana Occupational Therapist license is mandatory
• Experience working with children with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
• Skills in school-based occupational therapy, healthcare settings, teletherapy, and home health are valuable
• Ability to engage positively with elementary-aged children (PreK-5th grade)

Schedule and Employment Type:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• W2 contract position
