A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide school-based services in an itinerant role across multiple K-12 schools in Eastern Colorado. This position supports students in diverse educational settings, offering both direct therapy and collaborative services, with flexibility offered for paperwork, planning, and IEP meetings remotely.
Location: Simla, CO and various surrounding school districts in Eastern Colorado
Duration: Leave coverage through March 23, 2026
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Work Setting: Onsite only
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students across multiple school districts including Burlington, Limon, Arriba/Flagler, Woodlin, Genoa/Hugo, Arickaree, and Karval School Districts
- Manage caseloads ranging from 013 students with varying needs within school buildings and specialized programs
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate with educators, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Complete required documentation, progress notes, and therapy planning efficiently; paperwork and meetings may be conducted remotely at providers discretion
- Adapt interventions to meet student goals and promote educational success in compliance with school policies and state regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license eligible for school-based practice
- Experience delivering occupational therapy services in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple locations
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities for working with school teams and families
- Commitment to student-centered care and educational collaboration
