Qualifications and Skills:
- Current licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist
- Solid experience working in school-based OT roles, as well as home health and general healthcare settings
- Strong understanding of IEPs, progress monitoring, and documentation specific to educational settings
- Adaptable communication style to collaborate effectively with teachers, caregivers, and students
- Commitment to fostering student independence and functional skill development
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students needs in motor skill development, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive functioning
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans centered on student success within a school or home learning environment
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with team members to support holistic student growth
- Monitor student progress, adjusting therapy techniques and goals in response to ongoing evaluation and feedback
- Provide engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions in diverse settings, including classrooms and home environments if required
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records following school and regulatory guidelines
