Job Description

A therapeutic day school in Schaumburg, IL, is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support for the 2026/2027 school year. This part-time contract position offers approximately 20 hours per week working within autism and life skills classrooms, delivering tailored interventions to enhance student functional abilities and participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy evaluations and interventions focused on autism spectrum and life skills students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Document progress and participate in team meetings to ensure coordinated care.
  • Support skill development related to sensory processing, fine motor, and daily living activities.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license required.
  • Experience working in school or therapeutic day school settings is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with autism spectrum disorder and life skills programming.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
