A therapeutic day school in Schaumburg, IL, is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support for the 2026/2027 school year. This part-time contract position offers approximately 20 hours per week working within autism and life skills classrooms, delivering tailored interventions to enhance student functional abilities and participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and interventions focused on autism spectrum and life skills students.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Document progress and participate in team meetings to ensure coordinated care.
- Support skill development related to sensory processing, fine motor, and daily living activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license required.
- Experience working in school or therapeutic day school settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with autism spectrum disorder and life skills programming.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
