Job Description

A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available to support K-12 schools in the Gilroy, CA area during the 2025-2026 school year. This contract role runs from August 2025 through December 1st (or until Winter Break). The position requires providing on-site occupational therapy services directly to students within the school setting and includes both direct and indirect interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions for students in a K-12 school environment
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Manage a caseload according to district guidelines
  • Participate in meetings and document therapy sessions and student progress
  • Travel between assigned school locations as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Occupational Therapy license required
  • Experience working as an OT in school-based settings preferred
  • Ability to provide both direct and indirect therapy services
  • Comfortable with itinerant work involving paid travel by vehicle
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Availability to work full time (37.5 hours/week; typically 8 hours plus 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Additional Details:

  • Location: Gilroy, CA
  • Contract duration: Fall 2025 semester (Aug to Dec 1st or Winter Break)
  • Caseload model utilized by the district, with specifics to be determined
  • On-site presence required (no teletherapy or hybrid at this time)
  • COTA positions are not available currently
