Job Description

This K-12 Occupational Therapist position offers the opportunity to provide essential therapy services within elementary and middle school settings. The assignment runs from January through June, supporting students across two campuses in a South Carolina school district. This contract role involves working 37.5 hours per week to promote students functional independence and participation in academic and social activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer evaluations to identify students' occupational therapy needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and modify classroom environments
  • Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and maintain compliance with educational and healthcare regulations

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in school environments
  • Knowledge of K-12 educational systems and understanding of IEP (Individualized Education Program) requirements
  • Ability to assess and address pediatric therapy needs in school settings
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with staff and families
