An opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work in a supportive K-12 educational environment in Providence, RI. This contract position for the 2024/2025 school year involves providing vital therapeutic services to students ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade, focusing primarily on their individual needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts Occupational Therapy License
• Experience in school-based therapy, particularly with elementary and middle school students
• Strong background in assessing and providing services for fine and gross motor skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (COTAs)
• Knowledge of compensatory services and assessment processes in an educational setting

Location:

• Providence, RI

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to students from Pre-K through 12th grade, focusing on their developmental needs
• Supervise and collaborate with COTAs to ensure comprehensive care and effective service delivery
• Assess students to determine the need for compensatory services and develop appropriate therapy plans
• Consult with teachers and other staff regarding students progress and necessary adjustments to therapy
• Maintain detailed documentation of services provided and student progress
